The Triad Hockey Alliance is a joint partnership between the Greensboro Youth Hockey Association and the Winston Youth Hockey Association.

The goal  is to increase development opportunities for our members by increasing opportunities for our players to participate on teams with that better match their skill level. Doing this will also allow our coaching staff to focus on creating more developmental opportunities for players at the lower levels.

The “Triad Hockey Alliance” is our region's team with its own colors and team jerseys.  We will form competitive teams at the AA, A and B/House level at the 10U, 12U, 14U,16 and U-18 age groups.  Development programs including House, 8U and learn-to-play programs will be spearheaded locally within each organization and will benefit from this new level of coordination. The goal is for all players no matter of gender, age, ability to have a place to play at a competitive and appropriate level.

You can get more information on the Triad Alliance by visiting their website at www.triadhockey.org

The THA House program will focus on basic skill development with an introduction to team play concepts, in a FUN environment for learning. Players will be given an equal opportunity to participate and are encouraged to play all positions. Players will be assigned to teams and will compete in games played at the Greensboro Ice House and the Winston Salem Annex.

The THA House hockey program’s main objectives are:

  • Teach and demonstrate good sportsmanship and fair play
  • Focus on building team play fundamentals
  • improve individual skills
  • Provide the opportunity for each player to make new friends
  • And most importantly HAVE FUN
